Rich & Melody's Engagement Shoot

Rich and Melody and getting married in 2014 at the Milleridge Inn Cottage in Long Island. They wanted to capture the memories at the same location so they could show these pictures as a slideshow on their wedding day.

The location was so beautiful and has a great little village in it with 60's style shops with a great decor. They were such a pleasure to shoot! Hope you enjoy a few highlight shots below

Prayers for Newtown

As we all come to grips on the events which unfolded in the last three days in Sandy Hook, CT, I cannot help think of the 20 new angels that are now in heaven and looking down upon us - each shining down in a form of a star. Having been blessed with 6 year old triplets, I find myself just staring my my children all weekend long as they go about their business, be it playing with each other, fighting and even sleeping. I cannot help but think "They were like them".

While every parent is on edge this week as they let their children go to school, I find myself asking the questions, how does one not worry? How do I know they are safe? What if another psycho comes out to imitate these actions? Each time i ask such questions, i keep getting to one answer and one answer alone. Pray.

While we can do everything in our power to keep our little angels safe, eventually we have to let them go and know that at some point, we have to have faith in God to protect them.

I recently read a beautiful Poem about these twenty angels on Facebook posted by one of my friends which I wanted to share - it absolutely describes some of the many emotions every parent might be feeling. My hope in sharing this with you is with the hope that it provides some confort in thinking that these angels are now safe from all the harm this world has to offer.Their test is now over. They are now with their Lord.

This morning I woke up,
looked at the Connecticut sky.
I had a good feeling
I can't tell you why.

I kissed Mommy goodbye,
and told Daddy I love you.
And before we separated at the sign,
I told sister see you soon.

The bell rung,
we all rushed inside.
It was warm and loving
like a campfire light.

The teacher smiled,
my friends waved hello.
We started class,
but before you know..

The door busted open,
a man with a gun.
I was scared and broken
I looked at the sun.

The same sun I saw
with so much love.
Now brought me worry
but I'd stay tough.

I felt a pain
go through my whole body.
I saw a light
and an awful goodbye.

I saw Mommy's face,
her beautiful, soft lips.
I kissed her this morning,
she was something I'd miss.

I smelled Daddy's cologne,
when he hugged me today.
He left for work,
not knowing what life would take.

Sister was only a few blocks away,
in a classroom, I could see
I'll never get to say
how much she means to me.

My 6th birthday was coming soon,
I was dreaming of ponies
dolls and shoes.

Then I felt a hand
touch my face.
I was overwhelmed
in an amazing grace.

God said to me,
"don't you worry, child.
you've been here before.
it's just been a while."

I looked on my back,
where I found wings.
I felt a halo
and clouds under my feet.

With me, when I looked,
were my friends by my side.
That man sent us here,
but I'm alright.

Maybe he was sick,
maybe he was crazy.
Maybe he hurt us
because he was hurting, maybe?

I watch the tears
all over the country.
Over the few years
their pain because of me.

I watched my family
break apart.
but they knew
I was in their hearts.

I don't know much,
but I know this;
my mommy should've never
had to bury her own kid.

Although it's tough,
although it's hard
I think God would want us to forgive
the killer in our hearts.

What you don't know,
but what I'll tell you,
is I'm just fine.
in this heaven of mine.

Maybe this will teach you
to never regret a thing.
Be happy with what God gave you,
because you could've been me.

Now, maybe I was young,
maybe I didn't deserve it.
But maybe I taught a lesson,
now please...learn it.

Love with everything,
always smile a lot.
Remember this lesson,
that I taught.

Wipe the tears,
enjoy the years.
Time goes by fast,
you don't know which day is your last.

Pray for my family,
for my friend's family, too.
I'm sure they'll be grateful,
and thankful to you.

I'm an angel,
all brand new.
I came up here
this afternoon.

I would be 6 years old,
but God has a plan.
Remember this feeling of distraught,
remember this lesson that I taught.

Raj & Usha: Engagement Shoot

Raj & Usha recently won our free engagement shoot raffle at a recent bridal show. We picked a local park as our shoot location and got slightly delayed due to hurricane Sandy. The couple wanted to wear their traditional Indian outfits and were absolutely brave because it was FREEZING during our shoot!

They are both such wonderful people and the love they have for each other really made my job so much easier. I hope you enjoy a few images i have selected from this shoot as a highlight gallery.

Shaf & Aleena's Engagement Shoot

We met Shaf & Aleena at a recent bridal expo. Aleena had won one of our raffle giveaways for a free engagement photoshoot. The couple love the sceneries at Central Park and so it was clear that I did not have to do any further research on possible locations for our shoot! :)

We met at the park on what was supposed to be a comfortable (weather wise) day in the 40's. Both Shaf and I were dressed for the weather but Aleena was dressed to impress!!! Which also means that she was SHIVERING!!! So off course, that was Shaf's queue to come to her rescue and be the perfect gentleman and give Aleena his Jacket (enter "Awwwww" moment here ladies!)

We had an amazing time during the shoot and at some point, in me showing Shaf the pose, we actually pretended to cozy up (like a couple!) and tried to give Aleena my Camera for her to take our picture! The look on Aleena's face was just Priceless!!!!!

Below are some images from this fin shoot! Please feel free to comment :)

Stefanie & Doug: Engagement Shoot

Stephanie & Doug were such a pleasure to shoot. The couple recently got engaged and have their wedding date set for Spring 2013. They met through common friends and the love they have for each other is just so evident as soon as you meet them!
The shoot took place at their reception location in Smithtown, NY and to say the least, it is just breathtaking!

Ali & Sarah: Daytona Beach, FL

Ali & Sarah were such a pleasure to shoot. Their wedding ceremony was a fusion between a Muslim wedding coupled with a traditional vow exchange ceremony at The Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach, FL.

The Location was simply breath-taking with the ocean as the backdrop during the ceremony. The beautiful colors throughout this wedding created a simply amazing opportunity to capture these images.

Moynihan Family Shoot

I met this wonderful family at a location in the Hamptons in NY and what a breath-taking view this place had!!! The family had sentimental attachments to the location since they grew up around that neighborhood. What was wonderful to see was how much they all love each other - to a point where they actually consider each other as friends!!!

Khaki and Travis

I had such an awesome time shooting this wonderful couple. They were in town from Arkansas and took advantage of our Living Social deal - talk about perfect timing!!! I am sure you will agree that these two love birds are definitely made for each other!

Especially if the couple are two such amazing people as Mazaheer & Farhat!!

Imtiyaz & Samiha

I had the wonderful pleasure of being presented with an opportunity to shoot Imtiyaz & Samiha's Wedding in Orlando, FL.

Even though I had never met the couple prior to the wedding (since i live in NY and they are in FL), we had spoken quite a bit over the phone to make sure both of them had a good idea of exactly how I will be going about shooting on their wedding day. Managing customer expectations is key for me because I want to make sure I not only meet my customer's expectations, but i exceed them. After seeing the final pictures, the smiles on their faces was my reward that I had exceeded their expectations.

This is truly why i love my job. I not only get to be part of one of the happiest days in a couple's life but i get to freeze those moments and capture them as artistically as possible so they can treasure them for the rest of their lives.
